Hurricane Michael has already gotten to plenty of residents and ruined a lot of tourists’ plans to travel. This storm hasn’t killed that many people, but it has put a lot of people without power and essentials that we as people need to survive such as food and water.

Tourists who had plans to visit the southeastern U.S are scrambling to find ways to cancel their flights due to the fact that they might not want to get stuck in the tropical storm. Many of people are just counting the hours until the storm passes. Many who had plans to to vacation around the area must wait until the airlines are settled once again. It is awfully difficult to get through to the airlines and the travelers must wait for almost two hours.

The hurricane has already passed through parts of Florida, for example, a hospital has been blown down to pieces in Panama City. Emergency officials had to rush at least 200 people from the hospital. About 1,500 people were taken in for shelter in that hospital and even then, desperate residents were trying to get help from inside the hospital.

So far, there have been 18 people who have been pronounced dead by authorities altogether, and the death toll is still rising because many residents are being found under debris.

Even though everyone hasn’t died, many are still stuck with nothing. Homes are destroyed and 350,00 people are without electricity. Roads and water systems have also been shut down, entire neighborhoods are ruined. Many fear that the death toll will rise, since Hurricane Michael is not done with the southeastern United States yet.

This category 4 hurricane is tearing apart the lives of many. There have been plenty of hurricanes in the past and the southern United States gets the most of the bad storms such as hurricanes and tornadoes. Hopefully but not likely, the death tool won’t rise as much as it has in the past few days. Officials say that this has been one of the strongest storms to hit since Hurricane Andrew.
